Organizátoři zkoušek

British Council v Praze hledá brigádníky pro práci na mezinárodně uznávaných zkouškách. Budete součástí širšího zkouškového týmu, který bude mít na starost organizaci zkoušek na různých místech. Budete spolupracovat se zaměstnanci zkouškového oddělení British Council, ostaními organizátory zkoušek a personálem v jednotlivých lokacích. Vaším úkolem bude zajištění hladkého průběhu testování.

Summer Camp Assistants

Do you like working with children? 

Would you like to practice your English and get paid for it?

The British Council are currently looking for Summer Camp Assistants in July and August.

Requirements  

  • Required: To be at least 16 years of age
  • Required: To have B2 level English or higher 
  • Required: Must enjoy working with children
  • Desired: To be a native speaker of Czech (or proficient Czech for communication)

Knowledge of other languages than English and Czech may be a further advantage.

Summer Camp Assistants

Our Summer Camp assistants work in 1 week blocks and you can choose how many weeks you would like to work for us. It is a day camp, so our hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 17:00 (12th July – 13th August) and 8:30 – 12:30 (16th – 27th August

The post will involve assisting children with their needs when they aren’t in English lessons, and most importantly, ensuring they are in a safe environment. This could involve talking to them in Czech if they are sad (however, please note that we expect our assistants to speak to the children in English at all other times), giving them their snacks at break time, having lunch with them and making sure the kitchen give them the right meal if they have special dietary needs, making sure children are where they are supposed to be (e.g. in class), and helping our Activity Leaders with the afternoon program e.g. Sport. Art, Drama, Krava Maga, Cricket, Yoga, Dance etc

Freelance teachers

Freelance teachers are central to the teaching mix and are expected to work professionally to deliver high quality classes and support the centre. Freelance teachers are required to have a Czech business licence and to invoice the British Council monthly for work done.

The centre can offer reliable, well-paid and varied freelance work plus excellent development opportunities through our active and funded external training and INSETT programmes. We are particularly interested in teachers who can teach young learners weekday afternoons and are available to teach on Saturday mornings.

Exams Assistant (Test Day, CMR and Post Exam Processing) – Full time, definite contract for two years

Job aim: 

The purpose of this role is to support effective and efficient delivery of Exams within a location as well as post-exams processing. This role will be the point of contact for Venues/Venue Supervisors on the day and will support the management of Venue Staff and Examiner engagement, relationship and performance. The role will support the resolution of risks and issues, including customer communication directly or through customer services.

This role will support the safe handling of confidential materials in accordance with compliance standards during the multiple exchanges in country/location. This includes movement and activities related to the primary storage area known as the Confidential Materials Room (CMR) as well as final preparations of the Exam delivery before and during Test Day.  This role includes support in running Test Day activities including preparation of all test day materials e.g. stationery, uniforms, banners, IT equipment. The role is also responsible for timely scanning and submitting of exam papers to meet requirements for marking as well as for processing enquiries on results.

Exams Business Processing Assistant – Full time, definite contract (duration depending on the country the post will be based in)

Job aim: 

The purpose of this role is to support the country Exams teams with the delivery of business processing and reporting services, ensuring those tasks are conducted effectively and efficiently, and all the transactions, documents and reports meet the requirements of Finance Compliance Policy and Exams Operations Policies and timelines.

The role will be required (among other tasks) to provide data for the production of off-system income recognition journals, accurate income reconciliations and off-system invoices and will assist in the processing of payments, refunds and SAP procurement. This role will be part of a Cluster team and might deliver services to various countries in the EU Exams Region. This role will support fluent communication with country, Cluster and global Operations and Finance functions.
