We would like to inform you that Cambridge Assessment English have renamed their examinations. Please note that they are still the very same qualifications, but newly they include CEFR levels in the title (A1-C2): e.g. the FCE exam (Cambridge English: First) is now officially called B2 First. We kept the old names in brackets for your convenience. Please contact us if you have any further questions.

STEP 1 - Register online

  • You can register online for a Cambridge English exam in 10 examination centres across the Czech Republic.  Make sure you choose the correct place (town) and exam date on the online registration page and read the Terms and Conditions before you continue with the registration process.
  • Select your preferred exam, location and date from the table below.
  • Please note: Exams will not appear here after the registration deadline has passed or if tests are already full.

Step 2 - Pay for your exam

  • Online payment: pay with your credit/debit card during the online registration process.

Message for recipient: In the text box you must quote the following:
•FIRST: the registration Reference Number; your reference number is a 13 digit number that starts with R and then your country code (CZ).
•NEXT: the full name of the candidate taking the exam.
e.g. R-CZ001-70926-00130 - MARIA JONES. By quoting the registration Reference Number as described above you ensure there is no delay in processing your application (such a delay may lead to a change of your preferred test date or cancellation of your registration).

Step 3 - Payment confirmation

  • Registration is only valid after British Council receives your payment.
  • Pay the required exam fee no later than five days after registering for the test, where the first day is the day of registration. You will get an automatic email confirmation afterwards.

Institutions - Group registrations

For institutions we offer the possibility of online registration via registration portal. To get access to this portal you need to send an email request to info@britishcouncil.cz including your company details (invoice details), contact name and contact email address. Payment is settled via invoice, issued upon approval of registrations by the British Council.
