"OUR FUTURE" COMPETITION

“Our Future” is a British Council educational competition for school-age English exam candidates in Europe at Addvantage member schools. Teachers and students have a chance to share why they think English exams are important to their future and win fantastic prizes! In teams of three to five, students will work collaboratively on a competition task about the theme which is “Our Future City”. The competition will be run between November and April in two categories: 7-12 years old and 13-18 years old.

GUIDE FOR PARENTS

British Council has prepared a guide for parents about how to help their child with English Language exams. The guide will include information about us, the value of taking formal exams and answers to parents frequently asked questions about Cambridge English exams or IELTS. It will also give parents advice and tips on how they can make use of the free British Council online resources.

Exams for all

Children’s education is very important to us. This is why we launched a new programme in 2017-2018 to support children who have the potential and motivation to take an exam but lack the financial resources to do so. Each year, we want to give as many as ten students the opportunity to take an exam with us for free - last year, we awarded 5 students. For more information and the terms and conditions, please contact us at: addvantage@britishcouncil.cz

Teacher's pack

We are an international organisation with many years of experience that we would like to share with other educators. We realise that teacher development plays an important role and that’s why we have decided to offer our partner schools the opportunity for your teachers to attend INSETT sessions (in-house training programme) at the British Council or to observe our experienced staff during lessons. You can book your place through our reservation system.
