English for Academics is a 12-week course for Lecturers, Researchers and Ph.D. students at Upper-Intermediate and Advanced level (B2 / C1) who need to improve their written and spoken English skills in an academic context.
The programme will increase your understanding of lectures and conference talks and help you develop well-prepared, coherent arguments and skills for directing and influencing decisions. Realistic communicative activities will help you participate in seminars, group discussions and debates and deliver effective presentations with clarity, precision and fluency. You will learn how to plan, organise and write clear, well-structured and accurate texts, such as conference papers and abstracts.
Methodology
Our methodology is communicative and, therefore, the training sessions are highly interactive and based on discussion groups. Real-life examples are used for case studies and role-plays, with the trainer working as a facilitator.
The training is designed to encourage personal and professional development through the discussion of work-related issues.
Target
This course is aimed at those looking to optimise their professional profile and increase their employability, whether currently in work or looking for new employment opportunities.
Trainers
Our training team is highly qualified and experienced. Our trainers all hold degrees in specialist topics and have developed considerable expertise in different fields of work.
